ABOUT US

The Film School of India is an innovative film-making school for students of all ages. Students script, shoot and edit films under the guidance of our mentors and coaches through our unique project based curriculum. We offer a weekend programme planned over 6 months to 1 year.

Working together in teams, students will also enhance their skills in language, comprehension, visualization, and expression. Above all, it will provoke them to think, feel and assess their beliefs in a whole new way.

The aim of the film school is to give students the opportunity to use their creativity to make films.

The Film School of India is based in Gurgaon in NCR and is the first and only one of its kind in the country.

Courses

Course of study combining classroom learning, practical exercises and hands-on film production

All students follow a similar course of study combining classroom learning, practical exercises and hands-on film production. There are 7 major modules that students learn: Acting, Screenwriting, Directing, Cinematography, Production, Sound and Editing. Guided by experienced mentors the students develop a film from ideating to the final release.

Minor courses including Makeup, Costume, Animation and skill development for becoming a professional you-tuber will also be offered.

This method is an effective and powerful way of teaching the art and craft of moviemaking as they not just see and learn, but do and learn.

FSI COACHES & MENTORS

Experienced industry professionals will head Scriptwriting, Cinematography, Editing, Art Direction, Production, Sound Design and Postproduction. Some of the celebrated names that will be a part of the faculty are as follows:

Rohit Malhotra

20 years in film, television and web series writing and direction having executed many big budget projects right from ideating stage to successful release.

Umesh Gupta

An award-winning editor, Umesh brings over 28 years of industry experience in broadcasting and film with over 100 projects to his credit. A trained artiste in film editing from the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune and an Executive MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai

Vidushi Mehra

A theatre director , producer , film and stage actor , Vidushi has received domestic and international recognition for her plays . She is also seen in many popular hindi/bollywood films and commercials.

Debashish Mishra

A Graduate from FTII, Pune, Debashish has over the past twenty years worked in many films both as a Production Sound Mixer & Sound Designer .

Parmeet Sethi

Parmeet received his first acclaim in "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (1995), in which he played the character of Kuljeet, an arrogant alpha male betrothed to the heroine Simran (Kajol) who competes with Raj the protagonist played by Shahrukh Khan.

Nameeta Premkumar

Nameeta has run a production house for over 15 years and has made content across platforms. Having studied films in New York and Harvard Film Academy, she is a Post Graduate in media studies.

Sudarshan Juyal

Graduate of National School of Drama, New Delhi and graduate in Cinematography from Film and Television Institute of India in Pune.

Vivek Rangachari

Vivek is the Business head at DAR Investments and Producer on DAR Motion Picture Films. He has over 15 years of experience, across India & the Middle East and has worked in blue-chip Investment

Neeraj Sachdeva

A journey that began as a production assistant to a creative director-producer today, Neeraj has diverse experience with digital platforms, broadcasters and production houses where he has gained 360 degrees television experience in the business of storytelling.

Mayank Prakash Srivastava

A new generation Filmmaker, Mayank Prakash Srivastava believes in the power of cinema. This realization helped him started his journey 20 years ago, after doing his M.Sc., in Mass Communications with specialization in Electronic Media.
